Recorded at the end of 2020, following all Covid regulations, with the band recording from their houses, Movies to Musicals have released a charity single to help raise money at this hard time for all young performers wanting opportunities to perform.
After many successful sell out shows to date, which has included guests such as Step’s Faye Tozer, West End Leading Lady Kerry Ellis, John Owen Jones, Britain’s Got Talent Winner Jai McDowall and many more, Movies to Musicals have produced a track, but this time showcasing ONLY the incredible young performers in their Kids Cast.
After announcing the date of the release as Sunday 10th January 2021, the producer of Movies to Musicals, Ross Gunning, can’t contain his excitement and he knows how much this means to the young performers.
Producer of Movies to Musicals Ross Gunning says: “I don’t think it has sunk in yet for anyone. But Movies to Musicals, in association with Glasgow Philharmonia SCO, are releasing our first ever charity single!
“Seeing these incredible young performers shine in what has been a horrendous year for the Arts Industry just brings a smile to my face and tears to my eyes.
“These young performers haven’t had a chance to perform or look forward to anything since the 20th February 2020, and now is the time for them to be seen!”
Composed by Glasgow born, Antony Irwin, and produced by Chris Kenny at 88K Productions.
You can stream and download ‘You Can’t Stop The Music’ by Movies to Musicals in aid of Glasgow Philharmonia from Sunday 10th January, available on all streaming websites. You can also buy it from Amazon with all 99p going to the charity and helping give young performers incredible opportunities.
