The Scottish Caravan, Motorhome and Holiday Home Show returns this week (1-4th Feb) to SEC, Glasgow, and with over 230 leisure vehicles and 170 exhibitors, this year’s event is set to see thousands of keen travellers head to the show from across the UK to explore what’s on in its 37th year.

Taking over the whole of the SEC campus, the biggest show of its kind in Scotland is not to be missed, with plenty of new leisure vehicles, accommodation options and travel accessories pitching up, not to mention talks from special guests including Great British Bake-Off’s Karen Wright, and Van-Life author and podcaster, Siobhan Daniels.

Here’s everything you need to know:

Where and when?

The show will run from 10am to 5pm, Thursday (1st Feb) to Sunday (4th Feb) in the Main Hall of the SEC, Glasgow.

What’s new?
While many exhibitors will be returning to this all-important event in the leisure travel calendar, organisers have added 40 new and exciting exhibitors to the roster, as well as a bunch of new equipment from regular attenders.

New exhibitors for this year include:
• Barefoot Caravans - a new and unique 1950s style curved caravan design that’s as chic as it is practical – seen on Channel 4, George Clarke’s ‘Amazing Spaces’, this stunning light weight caravan can be adapted to your needs and tastes and comes in a range of colours

• Glawnings Ltd – husband and wife team created glamourous awnings which can be attached to a caravans and come in various sizes. The innovative product has won the business many awards and has been featured on ‘Carry on Camping’ with Johnny Vegas, currently on Channel 4

• SmartCampers, Beachy Caravan – Scotland’s only supplier of the Beachy Caravan, which has been created with real life in mind will be shown in Glasgow for the first time at the show. For long solo stays, or a family weekend get-away, this new model is sure to be a hit for experienced and new travellers

• Four Seasons Campers, new travel packages – Check out this luxury campervan company’s new and bespoke packages created for travellers with pets or kids. The packs include things to do and all the necessities for having a good time and keeping kids and fur babies occupied en-route

• Victory Leisure Homes, Silverwood Lodge – Set to be unveiled for the first time ever, the brand new 12-foot Silverwood Lodge is a top of the range holiday home for those who love their holidays with home comforts in a stylish setting.

What else can I see?
Great British Bake Off contestant and author of caravan cook books, Karen Wright, will be holding Travel Talks at the The Caravan and Motorhome Club Stage throughout the run and is set to reveal a show stopping Scottish themed cake.
Also presenting throughout the weekend is Siobhan Daniels, Van Life author and podcaster, who will be giving her insights into life on the road.

Returning exhibitors this year include:
• Argyll Holidays a regular exhibitor which will be showcasing what they have in store for 2024

• Willerby, another show regular and leading caravan and campervan manufacturer is back with a stand packed with caravans, motorhomes and holidays home options

• BC Motorhomes will be back for 2024, bringing with them a stunning range of super-lux Carthago Chic E-Line models, and much more

How do I get tickets?
Tickets are still available for the show online from £13. Children under 16 go free, but require a ticket to enter - you will be able to add these to your order when booking.

You can show up and buy a ticket on the day, but pre-booking is recommended to avoid disappointment.

How do I get there, and is there parking?
Located in Scotland's largest exhibition centre just outside of the city centre, there are numerous public transport options for getting to and from the SEC:

Train: The SEC has its own dedicated railway station – Exhibition Centre – allowing easy access from the city centre and suburbs. There are six trains an hour (around every 10 minutes) from Glasgow Central station, departing from Platform 17 (low level). Timetables available via Scotrail.

Subway: Hop on Glasgow’s famous ‘clockwork orange’ subway system and walk from either Kelvinhall or get off at St Enoch station and jump on a lower-level train from Central.

Bus: The X19 Stagecoach service operates near to the Scottish Event Campus, stopping on Finnieston Street only a few minutes’ walk from the venues. X19 Stagecoach timetable.

Bike: The SEC is surrounded by easily accessible cycle lanes. Pick up and drop off a Nextbike Glasgow outside of the SEC for a more sustainable way of travel.

Car parking: Visitors can park in the SEC carpark opposite the venue. The postcode for satnav users is G3 8GS. The height restriction is 2m, so those coming via motorhomes exceeding this can park in Car Park 5 at the venue.
Those driving to the show should ensure their vehicle is in adherence with the Low Emission Zone requirements as required by Glasgow City Council.
