Seven-piece band Cateran will return to the Main Stage in February, after its sellout show in 2024. Bringing a cross of Folk, Country and Americana, the band promise to bring a strongly acoustic sound with a focus on multi-part harmonies.
Cumbernauld Folk Club favourites The Brothers Gillespie also return to the venue in April with their lyrical songwriting, fine fingerstyle guitar playing and multi-instrumental musicianship. The Northumbrian duo have been described by Folk Radio UK as ‘weaving an especially compelling magic’.
In March, breakthrough solo artist Findlay Napier makes his debut with Cumbernauld Folk Club, where he will bring his captivating work to the Main Stage. The first solo act ever to be nominated for Live Act of the Year at the Scot’s Trad Music awards in 2018, his tireless creativity promises to delight Cumbernauld Theatre’s audiences.
To conclude a fantastic Spring season of Folk Club concerts, May sees acclaimed Scottish singer-songwriter Adam Beattie and multi-platinum singer-songwriter Fiona Bevan bring their double headline tour to the venue, which will celebrate their new music releases and unbeatable harmony. As June ends, Scotland’s quarter RANT, who celebrated a decade of music-marking last year will round out the season with their fresh, confident, and energised sound.
Located in the heart of Cumbernauld, on the Cumbernauld Academy campus, this state-of-the-art venue houses two performance spaces - a 270-seat auditorium and Studio Theatre, a dance studio, an 84-seat cinema and the new North Lanarkshire Council-run café.
