This fascinating monument was built by Alexander, 10th Duke of Hamilton, as his final resting place. The building is impressive on the outside, but, book one of the tours offered by Museum staff, and you will see just how breathtaking it is, with its massive dome, magnificent bronze doors, marble floors, and eerily atmospheric crypt – to say nothing of the world famous echo!

When conditions permit, we offer entertaining and very informative tours of Hamilton Mausoleum. Tours must be booked in advance at Low Parks Museum reception. Tours are available on the first and third Sunday of each month (February to November) at 12.30pm and 2.30pm.
Tours must be booked *in advance* through reception.

Tickets for the 12.30pm tour cost £6.50 (£4.20 conc) available from Low Parks Museum reception. Following the tour, simply present your ticket at our Mezzanine Cafe within Low Parks Museum for your choice of a warming bowl of soup or a hot drink and cake. Tickets can only be used on the day of the tour.

Tickets for the 2.30pm public tour cost £3.60 (£2.10 conc) also available from Low Parks Museum reception.

Private tours, for a minimum 10 people can be booked by arrangement.
