Make your own cranky box and story scroll. Crankies are traditionally used in folk singing and storytelling, rather than turning a page to reveal the images, they appear across the “screen” of the box by turning a handle (or crank).
Temporary Commons collaborates in the UK and internationally with communities and individuals, circuses and farmers, activists and makers of all ages to create puppets, print, performance and installations that are both surreal and socially engaged.
All events are online, run in partnership with venues across Scotland and available to audiences based anywhere.
