The Revive festival is taking place at East Kilbride Arts Centre, 12:00pm-5:00pm on Saturday 8 and Sunday 9 July 2023. There will be things to do and see for people of all ages, with a range of workshops, activities and displays.
Revive your weekend at our arts, culture and green festival. It's free!
Visit our studios and rooms, where you can paint ceramics, make wonderful works of art in rooms displaying drawings and paintings from our classes, and most of all, join in the fun of creating items to take home.
Let yourself be magically transported by exciting stories and characters from our storytellers in the garden.
The theme is recycle, reuse, and renew.
Indoor and garden displays
Our classes have been working on displays, using everyday items we'd normally throw away, to decorate the centre and walled garden. Everything has a second life... Nothing is just rubbish!
Arts workshops
Workshops are free to attend.
Please book a space at Reception for one of the time slots below:
12:00pm-1:00pm
1:15pm-2:15pm
2:30pm-3:30pm
3:45pm-4:45pm
There will be three indoor workshops each day:
Pottery studio – Insect pals
Insects are everywhere and very important to the environment and us, so have fun painting your own special insect created by our marvelous in-house potter.
Drawing and painting room – Recycle art
Create your own beautiful masterpiece from old works. Get creative with one of our fabulous tutors reworking a beautiful piece of art from things found in our building.
Rehearsal room – Make your flag
Come in and enjoy making your own flag for his Majesty the King, from arts and crafts and take home to impress everyone with your creation.
