R.E.M. remain one of the most influential bands of all time. They pioneered alternative rock, inspiring artists from Nirvana to Radiohead. Their instantly recognisable sound and uncompromising independence made them one of the biggest bands in the world through the 80s and 90s, before they bowed out on their own terms in 2011.
Stipe are widely recognised as the definitive R.E.M. tribute. A professional six piece, they recreate iconic tracks such as Losing My Religion and Everybody Hurts with precision and affection, while also exploring deeper cuts like Talk About the Passion and Rockville. Every set is different, offering fans old and new the chance to experience this timeless music live.
Their attention to detail has even won praise from Michael Stipe himself, who described them as “awesome” after seeing them perform on BBC’s One Show.
