About Loch Leven Walkathon

Pre-registration required!

Walk 7K, 12K or 13 miles and enjoy the stunning scenery of the Loch Leven Heritage Trail while raising vital funds to help make sure there’s no life half lived in Scotland!

All three routes start and finish at Loch Leven’s Larder, have fantastic views and are suitable for all ages and abilities.

The walks are signposted along well-maintained footpaths – and four-legged friends are welcome too!

The Loch Leven Walkathon is a fabulous and fun day out for the whole family so step out this spring and step up to help make sure people across Scotland get the vital support they need to live their lives to the full.

What better way to raise money for a great cause?

7K AND 12K WALKS

Enjoy a family treasure hunt on the 7K walk where you collect clues and follow the trail to claim your prize!

Sponsorship: Walkers can support our work by getting sponsorship or by making a donation. There is no minimum sponsorship for these walks but we are always immensely grateful for any funds you can gather, however big or small. Optional sponsor forms and information about raising funds will be included in your registration pack.

Accessibility: The 7K and 12K walks are wheelchair- and buggy- friendly. A limited number of electric scooters are available. Please book in advance to reserve one if required.

Age restrictions: All children (under 5) and young people (aged 5-17) are very welcome but must be accompanied on all routes by a responsible adult aged 18 or over. A maximum of 4 young people can be with any one accompanying adult on either route.

13 MILE WALK

Take part in a full day’s walk through the spectacular Scottish landscape and raise vital funds to help people do more than survive – help them really live!

Sponsorship: We ask entrants to raise a minimum of £100 sponsorship for Chest Heart & Stroke Scotland. You pay £10 towards this target when you register, leaving just £90 to raise. For our part, we will provide all the support you need to help you meet and beat your fundraising goal.

Accessibility: The 13-mile walk involves a small flight of steps and is therefore not wheelchair accessible. We ask that all participants are confident in completing the 13-mile route within a 6 hour time limit including breaks.

Age restrictions: We recommend that participants are aged 13 or over on the day of the event, however younger walkers can take part at the discretion of their parents. All children (under 5) and young people (aged 5-17) must be accompanied on all routes by a responsible adult aged 18 or over. A maximum of 4 young people can be accompanied by any one adult on this route.
