Shelter Scotland exists to defend the right to a safe home. A safe home is a fundamental right and the foundation on which our lives are built. It opens the door to employment, health, education and is the basis of strong communities.
By taking part in this Sleep Out @ Fir Park you are joining the fight for home. You are pledging to raise a minimum of £100 in sponsorship. Your fundraising will support us to defend the right to a safe home and fight the devastating impact the housing emergency has on people and society.
This event requires participants to sleep outdoors on the ground, in the stand either by lying on the group or sitting on the seats. Sleep without bedding or shelter other than a sleeping bag, pillow, plastic or cardboard sheets (all sleeper bedding & plastic/cardboard must be provided by the participant).
Participants will be sleeping in the concourse and are under no circumstances permitted to step onto the pitch. You agree to not cause any loss or damage to property at the event and to stay within the permitted areas of the venue. Alcohol consumption and substance use is strictly prohibited at this event and participants who do not adhere to this will be asked to leave. You agree to treat all staff, volunteers, and other participants with respect at all times. We will not tolerate any racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, hate speech or anything that may cause distress to participants, volunteers or staff.
Where possible we will update our listings to notify of cancelled, postponed and rescheduled events, however we STRONGLY ADVISE that you check with the venue/organiser in the first instance for updates.
