From table tennis, basketball and football to keep fit, soft tennis and mini golf, youngsters can celebrate the Olympics, Euros and Wimbledon with sports themed events every weekend of the school holidays.
All events are free with the exception of the mini golf which has a small charge to raise funds for Kilbryde Hospice. No booking is required.
The centre has teamed up with EK’s very own Caledonia Gladiators basketball team to offer two come and try days on 6th and 13th July, while East Kilbride Table Tennis Club will be on hand to give young players some top tips on 29th June and 4th August.
Meanwhile, our friends at Moo & Goo will be inviting young sports fans to get into shape at pop-up keep fit sessions on each Saturday from 20th July to 10th August (inclusive).
Arts & Crafts fans are also in for a treat with a series of Olympic themed crafts sessions on 7th, 14th and 21stJuly, while football and gymnastics skills will be available on 30th June and 28th July respectively.
From Monday to Friday, the centre’s events space in Plaza mall will turn into selfie central, with a winner’s podium, trophies, giant football and a massive deckchair available for some perfect pics.
If golf is your thing, then the centre’s nine hole mini golf course in Centre West – complete with tunnels, hills, bridges and more, will challenge even the best putters. Tee off was on 17th June and the course will be open every day from 10am to 4pm until 27th August.
Tickets for the mini golf – which cost £2 for adults and £1 for children – are available from the Kilbryde Hospice Shop in Centre West. All proceeds will be donated to the Hospice.
