This September weekend, keep the kids busy at Summerlee Museum as they host a variety of family-friendly activities to keep everyone happy!

About September Weekend Activities at Summerlee Museum

From exploring wildlife around the museum to braving the deepest depths of our mine, getting creative with arts and crafts to visiting the model boat exhibition, and much more! We’ll also have the return of popular immersive room experience and photofaces in our Photomedia Studio.

Friday 27 September
Wildlife Challenge (£1.50, includes bird food)
10am – 4pm
Take a walk through the museum to see if you can spot some of our favourite creatures.

Drawing Challenge (£1, includes pencil & paper)
10am – 4pm
Pick up paper and a pencil and go out and draw your favourite part of Summerlee.

Chariots of Steam (free)
10am – 4pm
Model boat exhibition

Mine Tours (£2 per person, restrictions apply)
10am –3pm

Immersive Sessions
Free short sessions exploring the immersive room. Suitable for all ages.
11am – 2.30pm
Every half hour (excluding 12-12.30pm)

Get Creative (price varies)
Join in for a 20 minute making session. Different themes and activity. Spaces Limited but seven sessions. Join us at the start time for the session.
