We are delighted to welcome the iconic guitarist, band leader, songwriter & producer Kevin Armstrong to 50rpm, Kevin has been the goto for a host of top acts, most famously David Bowie & Iggy Pop, but has also worked with Paul McCartney, Morrissey, Grace Jones, Thomas Dolby, Sinead O'Connor, Sandie Shaw and countless others.

Kevin Armstrong is an iconic figure in music, best known for his long association with David Bowie & Iggy Pop, but Kevin has also worked with Sinead O’Connor, Paul McCartney & Grace Jones, as well as writing for, and playing guitarfor, Morrissey, all of which he has detailed in his brilliant recently published memoirs 'Absolute Beginner'.
Kevin started working with David Bowie on the soundtrack of Absolute Beginners, put together David Bowie’s Iconic band for his Live Aid performance as well as playing guitar at the show, co-wrote the title track of Bowie’s album 'Outside', produced Bowie & Mick Jagger’s hit ‘Dancing In The Street’ and played guitar in Bowie’s ‘other’ band, Tin Machine.
Kevin has just publiched his memoirs ‘Absolute Beginner’ which details his work with everyone from Grace Jones to Paul McCartney, Iggy Pop to Roy Orbison, Sandie Shaw to Alien Sex Fiend & David Bowie to Thomas Dolby.
Kevin will be playing some of the classic songs he played on and co-wrote along with regailing us with some truly amazing stories from his career, as well as a Q&A.
We genuinely can't wait for this one.
