Join us for Free Archaeology walks at Palacerigg Country Park led by Archaeology Scotland. Wednesday 19th February, 11am - 12.30pm & 1pm - 2.30pm, meeting at Palacerigg Golf Club.
Our past is all around us – in the textures of the landscape and in the material remains of the ancient past. The information about monuments and landscapes that archaeology can provide enriches the telling of Scotland’s stories. It helps ensure the remains of the past are not lost to present and future generations.
This walk aims to introduce you to the archaeology in the park, introduce site recognition and draw together some of the evidence of the past. We'll explore what the key stories might be and together identify what might be found and interesting to explore in the future.
Completely Free & no sign-up required – just meet at the club-house 10 mins before your preferred walk time.
Where possible we will update our listings to notify of cancelled, postponed and rescheduled events, however we STRONGLY ADVISE that you check with the venue/organiser in the first instance for updates.
