As Christmas races ever closer, we're introducing some Friday in-store tastings to give you the chance to sample as many of the excellent spirits we have in store!
To kick off our Friday tastings, we are delighted to welcome John from Lindores Abbey to sample some of Lindores' finest single malts.
Lindores Abbey in Fife is the officially recognised site of the first recorded distillation of Scotch Whisky in 1494, when Brother John Cor, one of the monks, was commissioned by King James IV to turn 8 bolls of malt into Aqua Vitae. Over 550 years later, the Abbey Distillery is still producing exquisite single malts.
Their latest limited edition expression is Lindores Thiron 2025 49.4% Single Malt Scotch Whisky.
Thiron 2025 is the second in a series of annual releases that celebrate the distillery's centuries-old ties to the French village of Thiron-Gardais where the Tironesian monks came from who laid down the spiritual foundations of Scotch Whisky.
Thsi expression has been matured in a combination of Tironesian Virgin oak casks, Bourbon casks and red wine Barriques of exceptional quality. This 2025 edition has a stronger influence of the Virgin oak with older casks and an addition of re-racked casks filled with the original first batch of Thiron developing a unique profile.
Join John in-store this Saturday to sample their core expression and a few limited edition drams!
Where possible we will update our listings to notify of cancelled, postponed and rescheduled events, however we STRONGLY ADVISE that you check with the venue/organiser in the first instance for updates.
