In conversation about his life and career, Eric “Ricky” Tomlinson is an English actor (and former plasterer) best known for his television roles as Bobby Grant in the soap opera Brookside(1982-1988), DCI Charlie Wise in Cracker(1993-2006) and Jim Royle In The Royle Family (1998-2012). He also played the tie character in mockumentary Mike Bassett: England Manager. He has also started in the BBC series Nice Guy Eddie and Clocking Off as well as the film Nativity with Martin Freeman and 51st state with Samuel L Jackson. After the show there will be chance to meet Ricky.

The evening is hosted by BBC Radio Merseyside presenter Asa Murphy. As well as an interviewer and presenter, Asa is an established singer and entertainer. At home with either his swing style big band show or his energetic Rock n Roll performances.
Asa has performed all over the world including theatre shows in Rome and America. In his home town of Liverpool, Asa has sold out The Empire Theatre and Philharmonic Hall many times over and also the world famous Ronnie Scott’s London.
