Picture perfect - winners announced for Capture New Lanark postcard competition!

At the end of last year New Lanark put a call out to budding photographers & artists to get creative & submit their artwork to the ‘Capture New Lanark postcard’ competition.

Entrants were encouraged to be inspired by the many fascinating aspects of New Lanark World Heritage Site, including:

• The Falls of Clyde.
• New Lanark buildings and architecture.
• Woodland and wildlife.

After the competition closed at the beginning of January, the judges had a very tough job picking the winners from over 100 fantastic entries, many of which were postcard-worthy!

New Lanark are now very pleased to showcase the 15 winning photographs that will be incorporated into the new range of official New Lanark postcards, sold to visitors from around the world in the New Lanark Mill Shop.

New Lanark would like to thank all of the competition entrants for their effort in submitting their creative work.
"We were delighted with the amount of entries we received for the competition" Melissa Reilly - Marketing and PR Officer. "The standard of the artwork and photographs was very high – we’ve got a lot of talented people living locally! It will be great to see the postcards being sold in the Mill Shop, and there’s also the potential for the winners artwork to be used on other promotional items like magnets and stickers".
