Bryan Ferry, Foreigner, Michael Bolton, Four Tops, Thin Lizzy and Gloria Gaynor are all headlining the festival for the first time and Rewind Festival is proud to additionally offer a welcoming, family-friendly space as part of the festival.
Whether it is the hands-on arts and crafts or the new scavenger hunt which takes participants across the festival, there’s something for everyone!
Rewind has always been famed for its fun, family atmosphere and this year will not disappoint - the festival will be rolling out its most comprehensive entertainment line up yet! Celebrating the ethos of the festival, the kids area will provide families with extra entertainment in a safe space to explore together. It will act as a base for the incredible activities laid on for the generations who come to Rewind together year in, year out. The programme will be a mixture of activities throughout Saturday and Sunday including opportunities to party, make & create. Ziggy’s will be hosting circus skills workshops, family sports days and giant bubble parties.
Open between 11am and 6pm, this will be a relaxed hub welcoming families, entertaining and allowing them to get creative! Taking part in the family programme will be fun, accessible and engaging for all ages.
Tote Bag Decorating
For the first time ever, organisers will be providing kids with an awesome Rewind tote bag that kids can colour in and keep their festival goodies inside. All the family can get creative and join in and even better can take the bags home as a memento of the weekend too!
Scavenger Hunt
New for 2019, kids will need to work together on the Rewind Festival Scavenger Hunt to solve puzzles and hunt for clues across the festival, with extra-special rewards waiting for those who complete all of the challenges!
Hamma Bead Icons
Kids and adults alike will have the opportunity to turn iconic 80s brands into keyrings to wear and treasure; anything from the perfect pacman or their own take on the iconic MTV logo, the options are limitless!
80s Costume Design
Not disco ready? No problem! Early afternoon in the family area will be spent getting ready for the ultimate 80s disco, making tutus and giant bows, boomboxes and gold chains, getting painted and glittered ready for a dance throw down!
The Youngertones Disco... Party Time!
The kids will show the adults how it is done at the Youngertones Disco. There will be inflatables, prizes and dance alongs to the ultimate retro tunes to get everyone in the party mood- all within a safe, family-friendly environment!
The Gaming Hour
Kids will be able to enjoy some big fun on Rewind’s giant group games... Whoever said that the best things in life come in small packages was definitely wrong!
Polaroid Pictures
All the family can get their picture taken & pose up a storm for the perfect selfie using an old school polaroid camera - and make their own frame to treasure their Rewind memories forever!
Big Badges
Festival goers will have the chance to make their own pin badges with retro patterns and slogans for the perfect Rewind accessory!
Family Yoga
For a relaxing start to the day there will be a family yoga workshop taking place in the Family Camping area starting at 8:30am
This year's Rewind Festival Scotland will return to Scone Palace, Perth between the 19th and 21st July!
