With so many charities struggling for support and resource throughout the pandemic, itison us returns with a mission to spread smiles to thousands of people who need it most. itison us puts a spotlight on small, local charities and raises awareness of the incredible work they do to itison’s 1.5 million members.
Focusing on the power of respite and giving amazing experiences, itison us matchmakes local charities with businesses on itison to give them great experiences: a night away; dinners; family days out. Charities can then use these vouchers to provide respite for the people they support, the volunteers giving their time to the charity or to fundraise.
itison us launched in 2019 and donated over 6,000 experiences to local charities across Scotland before the pandemic put a halt on the initiative. Speaking of its return, Oli Norman, CEO at itison said: “The pandemic has put charities under incredible pressure and strain. We’re bringing itison us back to help these charities and the people that need it most.
“When you think about charity you don’t often think about the power of respite or giving a smile, that’s exactly what itison us does, donating hundreds of vouchers to brilliant local charities to use for those experiencing hardship – to enjoy a meal out or an overnight stay – something to give them and their families respite from what they’re going through – all on us and the amazing businesses we work with.
“We’re looking for incredible local charities across Scotland to apply, so whether you’re in the industry, or have been supported by a charity, encourage them to apply now!”
Having raised over £2million for Social Bite and most recently over £125,000 for an urgent Ukraine appeal in partnership with Glasgow the Helping City, itison is on a mission to do more good.
