Final countdown to the AJ Bell Great Scottish Run 2025 is on
Scotland's greatest running event, the AJ Bell Great Scottish Run, will return to Glasgow next month, and there’s still time to secure your place.

It’s going to be bigger than ever this year and that means the atmosphere will be too. The event which runs over Saturday 4 and Sunday 5 October, will see over 30,000 runners of all ages and abilities challenge themselves across the Half Marathon and 10km, with the city’s legendary support cheering them every step of the way.
The Saturday’s AJ Bell Junior & Mini events are now completely sold out, promising another spectacular Super Saturday of family fun, mascots, and mini running heroes.
This year’s event is extra special as it takes place during Glasgow’s 850th birthday celebrations, offering runners a chance to experience the city’s vibrant landmarks, music, and atmosphere like never before.
Among those preparing for the big weekend are Fit Ayrshire Dads – a community of men supporting each other to improve physical and mental health through activity and connection. Taking part in the 10km Stuart Ronald from the group says, “if you’re only going to do one run in Scotland make sure it’s the Great Scottish Run. Running across the Kingston Bridge is really special - when I’m driving over it I always say I’ve run over this bridge!”.
Paul Foster, Chief Executive of the Great Run Company, said: “The AJ Bell Great Scottish Run is a highlight of Scotland’s sporting calendar – a real celebration of fitness, fundraising and Glasgow at its best.
