The Bluebells came together during the Postcard Records period in early 1980s Glasgow. Sharing many of the melodic influences of Orange Juice, the Bluebells signed to London Records and released an album, Sisters, in 1984, which features tracks produced by Elvis Costello. Sisters produced three hit singles: Cath; I'm Falling; and Young At Heart (which went to number 1).
Fast forward to 2023 and the group released a second album - The Bluebells In The 21st Century. The album has been a critical and commercial success, as have recent concerts by the group.
