Our Autumn Explorers family activities are back, and this time we’re going on a nocturnal nature adventure with storytelling and sustainable crafts.
Discover which animals like to explore the farm at night, find out what bats, badgers and hedgehogs love to eat, and investigate what owls leave behind in their poo.
Storytelling
Times: 11:00–11:20, 12:30–12:50 and 14:00–14:20, sign up on the day
Location: Theatre
Join storyteller Joanne Marr for stories and songs about animals at night. Expect tales of racing hedgehogs, cunning foxes and grumpy owls.
Nocturnal Animals Craft
Times: 10:30–12:30 and 13:30–15:30, drop-in
Location: Learning Centre
Using recycled eggboxes and toilet roll tubes, make and decorate your very own bats, owls and hedgehogs to take home.
Soil Exploration Station
Times: 10:30–12:30 and 13:30–15:30, drop-in
Location: Learning Centre
Learn all about soil, the creatures that live in it, and what it's made of. Using our mini trowels and forks, find what’s inside our soil patch.
