Just like in video games like Minecraft, players have to survive in a hostile environment; build their own house, hunt for their food, search for resources, and fend off wandering monsters.
Sure, your child can survive in the ‘wilderness’ on the computer screen, but can they do it out in the woods for real? In our unique outdoor game kids have to work together, using what they know from video games, to learn outdoor survival skills and earn points along the way.
Playing our ‘Wildcraft Adventure’ game is a fantastic way to get your video game-obsessed child out into nature. Just like in their favourite video games, kids will be set several challenges throughout the day, and all the while they will be building their dens before ‘night’ falls and the monsters wake up!
Players will light their campfires, ‘mine’ for resources, and use sharp axes; all activities are closely supervised by experienced instructors. There’ll be plenty of time to get creative with play and imagination, of course.
Wildcraft is a full day of video game-inspired activities ideal for kids aged 8-14 years.
Players will also get the chance to enjoy hot campfire snacks such as sausages and marshmallows. They can even trade magic items they find for apples or cookies.
Wildcraft Adventures will run from 10am – 4pm and the game is usually played in teams of 4 or 5 children to work together to score as many points as possible, though the emphasis is not on winning the game but on scoring points through effort, participation, and being creative.
