In this class you can expect to remain seated or lying down for the duration of the practice as we work with the connective tissues to release tension and tightness on the deepest levels. This style of class is slow, which doesn't make it easy, but it does make it worthwhile!
By attending this class regularly you can expect to:
• improve circulation
• increase flexibility
• maintain mobility within the joints
• reduce symptoms of stress
• support a restful and restorative sleep
• ease anxiety and depression
• soothe ongoing headaches
What it’s all about?
Using props such as blocks and blankets we support the body to remain in a pose for several minutes. This allows tension to release as the tissues relax and a deeper sensation of relief can be experienced. While we remain in the poses for a little while longer, we use the breath to unravel any discomfort and to find focus in the present moment.
What level is the class aimed at?
Class is suitable for beginners or more advanced yoga practitioners who would like to complement other styles of yoga they practice.
How much does this class cost?
Classes are £8 for a Drop In Ticket, with discounts available for Block Booking or Family Bookings. Numbers are limited for this class, so booking is essential.
Anything else I need to know?
Please bring your own yoga mat and a blanket for use during a guided relaxation at the end.
Where possible we will update our listings to notify of cancelled, postponed and rescheduled events, however we STRONGLY ADVISE that you check with the venue/organiser in the first instance for updates.
